Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Students can register by clicking Register on the homepage and entering the cohort code provided by their instructor, along with their name, email, and a password. You will receive a verification email to confirm your account.
What roles are available in BioSuite Virtual?

There are three roles:

  • Student — Complete VR training modules, track progress, and earn credentials.
  • Instructor — Create cohorts, manage student rosters, monitor progress, and administer credentialing.
  • Administrator — Manage organizations, seat licenses, and platform-wide settings.
I didn't receive my verification email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder. If you still don't see it, contact your instructor or use the link on the login page to request a new verification email. If the issue persists, reach out to our support team.

VR Headset Pairing

How do I connect my VR headset?
  1. Log in to BioSuite Virtual on your computer or phone.
  2. Navigate to Open In VR from your dashboard.
  3. A pairing code will be displayed on screen.
  4. Put on your VR headset, open the BioSuite VR app, and enter the code.

Both your device and the headset must be connected to the internet.

My pairing code expired. How do I get a new one?
Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes for security. Simply click "Generate new code" on the VR Pairing page to create a fresh code.
Do I need an internet connection to use the VR headset?
Yes. An active internet connection is required on both your headset and the device where you're logged in. This ensures your progress is saved in real time. If you lose connectivity, your progress may not be recorded.

Account & Profile

How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page, enter your email address, and follow the instructions in the reset email you receive.
How do I update my profile information?
Once logged in, navigate to your Profile page using the sidebar menu. You can update your name, institution, and other personal details from there.
What is the PIN used for?
Your PIN is a 4+ digit code used to unlock your VR headset session if it locks due to inactivity (after 60 seconds). You'll set your PIN before your first VR session.

Progress & Knowledge Checks

How is my progress tracked?
Your progress is automatically recorded as you complete steps within each VR module. You can view your overall completion percentage, time spent, and knowledge check scores on your dashboard.
Can I retake a knowledge check?
Yes, you can retake knowledge checks as many times as needed. Your best score will be displayed on your dashboard and visible to your instructor.

Credentialing

How does the credentialing process work?
  1. Complete all prerequisite modules and knowledge checks.
  2. Request a credential unlock code from your instructor.
  3. Enter the unlock code on your Credential Status page to begin the certification exam.
  4. Upon passing, your credential record is stored and a notification is sent to the credentialing authority.
What happens if I fail a credentialing attempt?
There is a 14-day cooldown period between credentialing attempts. During this time, you can review your training modules and retake knowledge checks to prepare. Your instructor can see your attempt history.
Do credentials expire?
Credential expiration depends on your organization's policies. Some credentials may have an expiration date, while others remain active indefinitely. Check your Credential Status page for details.
